What Is Critical Illness Insurance?
It pays you a tax free benefit if:
- Suffer a stroke
-
Heart attack
-
Life threatening cancer
-
Permanent disability (usually two or more limbs)
-
Loss of independence (Can't walk, dress yourself, etc.)

Death (if tied to a life insurance policy)
Critical illness insurance is not:
- Heath Insurance
- Disability Coverage
- Only life insurance
Critical illness insurance will not pay you for:
- Non serious or non listed diseases
- If no provable damage has to occurred (not mere diagnosis)
- Partial or temporary disability
- Simply being unable to work
- Stress related problems
- Pregnancy
- Anything else that's not specifically defined in the contract
